HR Gives Back is not a charity. It’s a movement.
Started by a group of industry veterans, HRGB is an all-volunteer effort to connect the generosity of the HR technology community to make a real difference for those impacted by Parkinson's disease by speeding a cure.
HR Gives Back launched on October 21, 2015, also know as “Back to the Future Day” – the day Michael J Fox’s character Marty McFly fast-forwards to in the Back to the Future trilogy.
Michael is also the founder of the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. In honor of him and the date, we had our first “HR Gives Back to a Future Without Parkinson’s” fundraiser during that year’s HR Technology Conference.
The first year raised over $30,000, and over the past three years, the HR Gives Back community has raised over $100,000 in total during our annual HR Gives Back events.
